UK Government "Breaking the Law"?

Guardian Unlimited | Special reports | UK 'breaking law' over CIA secret flights: "The British government is guilty of breaking international law if it allowed secret CIA 'rendition' flights of terror suspects to land at UK airports, according to a report by American legal scholars."

Hey Paul.
Enjoying your coverage so far. I read this article in the Guardian Weekly - which I try to buy often, as it is such a quality resource - and the UK government, whilst not being the only country aiding US rendition, came off poorly.

It's that old chestnut: the means satisfy the ends. The means is torture and the end (we are led to believe) is a reduction in terrorism. It seems crazy to me.
